Round 22 In Review     Previous Round Reviews

What an amazing final round of season 2008! We were witness to both the agony and the ecstasy on Saturday night at the Dome with Hawthorn’s Lance “Buddy “ Franklin notching up his 100th goal for the season at one end and Carlton’s Brendon Fevola just falling short on 99 goals at the other. And we watched in disbelief as Collingwood and Nth Melbourne threw away the double chance while the Saints served up their greatest ever win over Essendon and in the process snatched 4th spot on the ladder.

Geelong’s dominance in season 2008 translated to a dominance in Fantasy Footy player stats with this year’s top three player averages being filled by the terrific trio of Bartel, Ablett and Corey. Adelaide’s Scott Thompson was rewarded for another consistent year with his second top ten finish in a row and we welcomed back into this year’s top ten some ever reliables in Kane Cornes, Dane Swan, Daniel Cross and Cameron Bruce. Richmond young gun Brett Deledio finally arrived as a unique talent with his first top ten finish and Dean Cox all but cemented his spot as this year’s “All Australian” ruckman.

The Round 22 winner of the weekly prize of a $20 Sportingbet.com.au free bet is the Dragons Thorn team scoring an excellent 1792 points.

And now the news you've all been waiting for! Congratulations to the winner of this year’s major prize of the $200 Sportingbet.com.au free bet the bloods03 team who finished on 36888 points. Well done!
