Fantasy Footy 2009 - Terms & Conditions

HOW TO ENTER

  1. To enter the Fantasy Footy Competition go to the Fantasy Footy web site and register as an Entrant.

  2. Entry to the Competition is open to residents of Australia, excluding employees of Goalsneak & Sports Alive and their immediate families.

  3. Each Entrant is only permitted to enter the Competition once and is open to all ages.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Entry to the Competition is free.

  2. The Promoter is Goalsneak.

  3. Information on How to Enter forms part of these Rules of Competition.

  4. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for misdirected registrations or Entrant selections not included in the Competitions.

  5. Entrants’ registration details including their names and addresses, will be entered into a database and Goalsneak may use such information for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.

  6. A list of all prize winners will be listed on the Fantasy Footy web site as they are determined.

  7. Prizes for the Competition total $4,830.00

  8. Winners will be notified within 14 days of determination of each prize.

RULES OF THE COMPETITION

  1. The Competition runs from Round 1 – Round 22 of the 2009 AFL football season.

  2. To participate in the Competition Entrants must visit the Fantasy Footy web site each week and make a selection of one player for each of the 16 AFL teams. The selection is the player that the Entrant thinks will receive the most Fantasy Points for his team in the next round of AFL Football.

  3. Fantasy Points will be awarded as follows :

    Kick = 3 Fantasy Points
    Handball = 3 Fantasy Points
    Mark = 3 Fantasy Points
    Hitout = 1 Fantasy Point
    Tackle = 3 Fantasy Points
    Goal = 6 Fantasy Points
    Behind = 1 Fantasy Point

    A default score of 50 fantasy points will be assigned to any player selected who fails to play, is a late withdrawal or plays and ends up with zero fantasy points. Default scores will be marked in red.

  4. Fantasy Points are awarded on each game based on the official AFL statistics.

  5. The Competition commences on Thursday 5th March 2009 and concludes on Sunday 30th August 2009.

  6. In the event of a tie for any prize, the following criteria has been developed to determine a clear winner :

    1. Should there be a tie in fantasy points then the team with the highest YTD score at that stage will be determined the winner.

    2. In the event that teams are still tied then the prize will be split equally.

  7. Prizes :

    1. Weekly Prizes:

      Prizes will be awarded each week to the 1st 2nd and 3rd Entrants that have the most Fantasy Points for that Round.

      The weekly prizes will be a $100 free bet for 1st, a $30 free bet for 2nd and a $10 free bet for 3rd with Sports Alive.

    2. End of Season Prizes:

      Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 Entrants with the highest cumulative scores from Rounds 1-22.

      The prizes will be a $1,000 betting account for 1st, a $500 betting account for 2nd and a $250 betting account for 3rd with Sports Alive.

    3. To claim any of the prizes you must be 18 years or older and meet standard ID requirements. These prizes are non-transferable.
